ANC “Sugar Daddy” Councillor Must Be Fired

Sep 14, 2015 | Press Releases

The IFP Women’s Brigade demands that ANC councillor, John Ntuli, who is the ward 63 councillor in Atteridgeville and is alleged to be in a love relationship with an underage schoolgirl, must be fired.

“We cannot tolerate such conduct by ANC councillors who just lure young girls with all sorts of things just to get them under their blankets. It sad that old fathers or “Sugar daddies” can ruin the future of young girls who are the future mothers of this country,” said IFP Womens Brigade National Chairperson, Mrs Thembeni Madlopha-Mthethwa.

“Aids infection in young girls has become a “moral issue” and deserves our attention. The spread of HIV by “sugar daddies” will not go away unless the phenomenon is actively confronted and condemned by all sectors of society. It’s a disgrace to us. Those who do such things are acting irresponsibly towards our children and must be sent to jail,” continued Mrs Madlopha-Mthethwa.

“We are of the view that hunger has taken over many households and this has led to desperation for money on the part of young students. They end-up doing things that they are not proud of. They get involved with” sugar daddies” because they have the material means that so many young girls are interested in. Drug and alcohol abuse leads them to indulge in unprotected sex and they fall pregnant and some get infected,” concluded Mrs Madlopha Mthethwa.

The IFPWB demands that Tshwane Mayor Kgosientso Ramokgopa and the ANC Gauteng Provincial Leadership must ensure that this councillor is removed from his position if they are serious about such matters. He has proven that he is a leader who is preying on young girls. His apology is not enough but the best thing to do is for him to resign from his position.
