Ngifisa ukuwushayela ihlombe umnyango wezobuciko namasiko ngesibindi sawo sokuphumela obala ngezinkinga ezikhungethe umnyango.
uMncwaningi mabhuku omkhulu ubenezikhalazo nokusetshenziswa kwezimali emikhandlweni.
Siyi-Nkatha, sithi kumele umnyango uphikelele ukuqinisekisa uthi izimali zenza lokho okusuke kuhlosiwe nxa zabelwa esikhwameni sikazwelonke.
South Africa is a beautiful and culturally diverse country and we need to promote and preserve our culture.
We hope that this budget will ensure that all programs are implemented.
We must observe our heritage and culture not only on one day but to make it a part of our daily lives.
In recognition of the important role languages play in people’s daily lives, the United Nations General Assembly declared 2019 to be the International Year of Indigenous Languages.
As South Africa, what can we do to preserve and revive our Indigenous languages?
How can we increase awareness of their diversity and significance?
We hope that in line with the United Nations Declaration, this department is budgeting to include our indigenous languages during the course of rolling out its mandate.
The Arts and crafts are no longer emphasised in our schools and TVET Colleges. This department needs to have a specific program to address this.
There is no doubt that there are many young people who are gifted in the arts, be it visual or otherwise.
The government needs to create programs that give our youth a fighting chance to make a living from their talents and to also include our township and rural communities in these initiatives.
The IFP supports this budget vote.
