Inkatha Freedom Party spokesperson on Transport, Mr KP Sithole, MP, said “The recent and sudden resignation of PRASA CEO, Mr Lucky Montana, speaks volumes about the current state of divisiveness within the parastatal. The circumstances around Mr Montana’s resignation, the fact that there allegations of impropriety around large tenders currently under consideration and coupled with the now defunct lack of leadership, is indeed a crisis which calls for immediate government intervention.”
“This parastatal has recently been rocked by tender irregularities and the resignation of the CEO is evidence that these irregularities are occurring or being influenced at senior executive level. A full investigation must be conducted, the IFP will also be calling for the Public Protector’s office to look into this matter,” conclude Mr Sithole, MP.
