Danny Jordaan Needs to Resign From SAFA Immediately

May 19, 2015 | Press Releases

“Danny Jordaan has come to a crossroads – he needs to decide whether he will continue to pursue his ambitions of being mayor of Nelson Mandela Municipality or remain the president of the South African Football Association – he cannot have his cake and eat it” said IFP spokesperson on Sport, Mr Pretros Sithole MP.

The IFP believes that Danny Jordaan must resign from his post at SAFA immediately.

“By accepting the mayoral post Danny Jordaan has shown himself to be a blatant ANC member and he can no longer be expected to be a reliable independent official. He also let both SAFA and the general public down because he stood for SAFA elections, and now he is turning his back on that by accepting the mayoral position” said Sithole.

“His actions show how self-centred Jordaan is and also shows that he has a double agenda. He cannot be allowed to continue exploiting the positions he finds himself in” said Sithole.
