Apr 19, 2016 | Press Releases

The Inkatha Freedom Party in eThekwini Municipality would like to express its deepest condolences to the family of Cllr Zodwa Sibiya who was gunned down on Saturday night. We condemn violence of any nature, more especially towards women. Our heart-felt sympathy to the family and the ANC for their loss, said the IFP CAUCUS Chief Whip in eThekwini Municipality, Cllr Molly Mngadi.

“The death of Cllr Sibiya has been such a traumatic experience as I worked much closed with her in the same committee portfolio. When I received the SMS alerting me about the passing I was very shocked. I am still trying to come to terms with the whole series of events and cannot wrap my head around, how you can point a gun to a woman and kill her? Asked Cllr Mngadi.

In conclusion, “the IFP strongly condemn violence and killing of Cllrs. We calls on the police to ensure that her killers are brought to books and justice be served,” concluded Cllr Mngadi.
