IFP Confirms Meeting with IFP-run Municipalities

Oct 19, 2024 | Press Releases

The IFP has taken note of a report that seeks to put a negative spin on the IFP’s meeting with mayors and IFP leaders.

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party is indeed meeting with the leadership of various IFP-run municipalities today.

The process is part of routine oversight.

It is also as per the IFP National Council’s resolution of Saturday 10 August 2024, in which the highest decision-making body of the Party, publicly communicated that it would endorse the assessment and review of the Party’s service delivery performance, in all IFP-governed municipalities, by November 2024.

Today’s meeting is part of this process.

The IFP takes its commitment to the people seriously. And meeting the commitments we made in our various manifestos.

Other than that, we reject any false and malicious reporting.
