The IFP wishes to congratulate well-known and equally loved comedian, actress, radio and TV presenter, Ms Tumi Morake on being the first African female comedian to feature in an American-owned TV streaming platform, Netflix.

We understand that Ms Morake is among 32 comedians from around the world to feature in a series of Netflix comedy specials, making her the first African female comedian to have a set on such a huge platform which will be broadcasted worldwide.

We note that this is a major stride for not only South African comedians but particularly for female comedians on the entire African continent.

The IFP is extremely proud of this great feat by this phenomenal South African gem; we hope this is the beginning of bigger and greater things.

We wish her all the best in her journey and for flying the South African flag high!
