IFP Extends Condolences to Khuzani for the Loss of His Grandmother

Jul 9, 2020 | Press Releases

The IFP in KwaZulu-Natal Legislature has learnt with great sadness of the news of the untimely passing of Maskandi music star Khuzani Mpungose’s grandmother, Gcinephi Mngadi.

We extend our sincere condolences to Khuzani and his family. We understand the parental role played by Gcinephi Mngandi in Khuzani’s life. We salute her for raising him from the age of 14, when he became orphaned. We thank her for moulding his personality and bringing him up to become a respected Maskandi musician in South Africa.

She represents numerous grandmothers who are raising grandchildren single-handedly in many households in South Africa.

We salute you Gcinephi Mngadi. Lala ngoxolo gogo!
