IFP Extends Heartfelt Condolences On MPs Tragic Passing

The Inkatha Freedom Party extends its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the MP who tragically lost his life, and to all other MPs who were injured in a vehicle accident near Paarl this morning.

IFP Chief Whip in Parliament, Mr Narend Singh, MP, said, ”It is with great distress that we received news of the horrific vehicle accident this morning involving members of parliament of the portfolio committee on Basic Education who were on an oversight tour in the Western Cape,”

“It has now been disclosed that Honourable Timothy Khoza, MP, has passed away and we convey our heartfelt condolences to his family and his party, the African National Congress, and wish a speedy recovery to Portfolio Committee Chairperson, Nomalungelo Gina, MP, and portfolio committee members, Cynthia Majeke, MP and Ian Ollis, MP,”

“As the IFP and on behalf of our Leader, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, MP, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Khoza family and friends, and to all others injured, we pray for their speedy return to full health,”

“The IFP further support calls for a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this accident and urge all motorists to drive with the utmost caution during the current wet winter being experienced in the Western Cape,” concluded Singh, MP.
