Nov 2, 2019 | Press Releases

It is with deep sadness and shock that we learn of the untimely passing of Ms Thuliswa Nkabinde-Khawe, the MEC of Social Development in Gauteng. Her passing was confirmed by member of the family this morning.

As the IFP we are still trying to come to terms with the devastating news that this passionate and hardworking leader has passed on. We held her in high regard and expected her to go on to achieve greater things as the political head of the Social Development portfolio.

On behalf of the IFP, I wish to convey our deepest condolences to friends, colleagues, family and loved ones of MEC Thuliswa Nkabinde-Khawe. Her brimming smile and captivating presence in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature will be greatly missed. While her life has ended, her legacy in serving the poor and forgotten people of Gauteng will leave on forever.

The pain we feel is unmeasurable and we can only find strength in knowing that she is in a better place. May her soul rest in eternal piece, the IFP and all South Africans salutes her.
