The IFP in the KZN Legislature rejects with contempt the behaviour by the ANC of covertly bring the former President of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency, Mr JG Zuma without taking other political parties into confidence by advising them in advance that one of the guests invited include the former President of the country.
“As the IFP we don’t see any compelling reason to stage a walk out because it is no strange move as the former President as a South African citizen has a right to attend Legislature Sittings like other member of the society. The IFP is not against any visit to the Provincial Legislature by anyone irrespective of his/her title or position, “said IFP Leader in the KZN Legislature, Mr Blessed Gwala.
“What is most important to us as the IFP today is to pay attention to the Budget speeches as we are debating Agriculture, Economic Development and Environmental Affairs which are the backbone of the economy. People are not benefiting anything from the disruptive behaviour and political posturing but they want to hear what the provincial departments have to offer to them,” concluded Mr Gwala.
