The leadership of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in Gauteng is pleased to announce that, from 18 19 September 2021, it will be conducting Walkabouts in various voting districts in the province. This is to encourage citizens to register to vote in the upcoming Local Government Elections, to be held on 1 November.
On Saturday, 18 September, IFP Provincial Chairperson, Hon. Bonginkosi Dhlamini, alongside IFP Candidates, will be visiting areas in the Johannesburg inner city, Orange Farm and Soweto, to encourage voter registration. On Sunday, 19 September, IFP Treasurer General, Hon. Narend Singh, MP, will lead the second leg of the voter registration Walkabout, in Ekurhuleni and surrounding areas.
The people of Gauteng deserve good governance, efficient service delivery and servant leadership. The IFP stands ready to bring the change needed to improve the lives of the people living in the various municipalities of Gauteng.
To ensure the health and safety of all, those planning to register to vote are advised to adhere to the recommended Covid-19 health and safety protocols.
