Following the announcement of the formation of a new political party, the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) KZN Chairperson, Cllr A.T Ntuli, has issued a call to the IFP’s rank and file, to focus their attention on the upcoming elections, and on protecting the legacy of its late Founder, HRH Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.
With the general elections now just a few months away, Cllr Ntuli emphasised the need for unity and focus within the IFP’s ranks. He urged every member and supporter to channel their energy towards ensuring a resounding victory for the IFP in the forthcoming elections, while recognising the responsibility each member has, to advance the impactful legacy left by Prince Buthelezi.
Prince Buthelezi dedicated his life to improving the lives of South Africans – in particular the lives of KwaZulu-Natal residents, which he achieved with limited resources.
In contrast, what residents of KZN have experienced under ANC-rule, much of which was under the leadership of its former President, has only been that of regression, deterioration and theft of resources, which is why there is now a desperate need to fix KZN.
In response to the establishment of uMkhonto Wesizwe, a new political party supported by former ANC President Jacob Zuma, the IFP in KZN believes that the new party amounts to nothing more than the same broken promises and the same unethical leadership the people of KZN have been subjected to for decades, only in the form of a new political vehicle.
Therefore, Cllr Ntuli urged voters not to be misled or swayed by this move.
The IFP in KZN calls on each IFP member and supporter to permanently rescue the people of KZN from the clutches of poverty brought to us by the ANC-led government, by ensuring everyone is registered to vote. And to ensure that everyone actively participates in our democratic processes.
The IFP in KZN is not swayed by political opportunism that clearly seeks to serve individual interests only.
The IFP will continue to focus on the bigger picture: to unite, to focus and work collectively towards a future that honours the legacy of Prince Buthelezi. A legacy of ethical and moral leadership. A legacy to be proud of. A legacy of service to the people and one that seeks to advance the interests of all of the people of KZN.
