IFP NEC Meeting with IEC on Election Readiness

Today, 15 March 2024, the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) National Executive Committee (NEC) led by IFP President Hon. Velenkosini Hlabisa MP, met with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) delegation led by its Chairperson Mr. Mosotho Moepya, in Durban to discuss the IEC’s state of readiness for the National and Provincial Elections on 29 May 2024.

The meeting was extensive and cordial. The IFP recognises and validates the importance of the IEC’s role in maintaining the integrity and credibility of the electoral process, safeguarding democracy, and upholding the will of the people.

The IEC has indicated that its processes are well underway, and all systems are in place for the 29 May 2024 election date.

The IFP has expressed its confidence in the IEC and is committed to supporting the IEC, where applicable, to deliver free and fair elections.
