IFP President Velenkosini Hlabisa MPL will lead an IFP delegation on a working visit to the Republic of China (Taiwan) from 16 to 20 December 2019 at the invitation of the Taiwanese government.
The IFP has strong relations with the People of Taiwan and we remain supportive of their struggle for independence and freedom.
The relationship is founded on the principles of human rights and democracy.
IFP President Emeritus, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi MP, strengthened these relations anew when he attended the inauguration of President Tsai Ing-wen in 2016 and engaged with Vice President Chen Chien-jen and also had multiple bilateral meetings with government and civil society.
Subsequently IFP Delegations have been to Taiwan and also multiple interactions have taken place here at home.

President Hlabisa and the delegation with amongst others meet with the Department of International Relations, Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Legislative Yuan (Parliament) and the Anti-Corruption Agencies, Energy Sectors, National Health Insurance Administration and Farmers Association.
The delegation will also meet with Ministers and Deputy Ministers of various government departments including Justice and Health.
There are many lessons to learn from Taiwan socially, politically and economically; and science, technology and innovation.
