IFP Shocked By The Callous Killing Of Inkosi Linda Mathonsi

Dec 6, 2016 | Press Releases

The Inkatha Freedom Party is shocked at the news of the brutal murder of Inkosi Linda Mathonsi of Mandeni earlier today.

“We are deeply shocked and devastated by this brutal act that leaves us lost for words. Inkosi Mathonsi was in the company of a child when gunmen opened fire from a moving vehicle which sped away after killing him. Among Amakhosi, he was highly respected and was ever-willing to assist and give advice in solving community issues. It is shocking that such a valued citizen of KwaZulu-Natal has to depart this life in such a tragic manner. While it is unacceptable that someone of his stature is murdered, we condemn any form of violence. We call on the Hawks to utilise all of its resources to find those responsible and ensure that justice is served. Members of the community who have information about this killing are urged to come forward and assist the police in their investigations,” said IFP National Chairman, Mr Blessed Gwala MPL

The IFP conveys is deepest condolences to the family of Inkosi Mathonsi and to the Mathonsi clan.
