IFP statement on the passing of Minister Jackson Mthembu

Jan 21, 2021 | Press Releases

It is with deep sadness and regret that we join the nation in paying our respects and offering our sincere condolences on the passing of a giant and patriot, Minister Jackson Mthembu.

Minister Mthembu was a bridge-builder, and an individual with a deep love for our country and for service. He was a humble gentleman, and will be forever remembered for his decisive leadership and candour.

Minister Mthembu committed his life to public service and he touched each and every individual who was fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

It is indeed sad that we bid farewell to one of our country’s great leaders of integrity due to Covid-related complications.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his close friends, colleagues and the ANC at large.

May his soul rest in peace. Lala Ngoxolo.
