IFP Welcomed New Members Next To President Zuma’s Home

Jul 10, 2015 | Press Releases

Today, the IFP welcome 8 new members from the ANC in KwaNxamalala in Nkandla next to President Jacob Zuma’s home.

Welcoming new members, the IFP National Chairperson, Mr Blessed Gwala said “Our support is growing on a daily basis. As we are welcoming new members here today, on Sunday our President, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi will also be welcoming many new members from the ANC and NFP in KwaDayeni in Nongoma. This proves us right against what the ANC claimed early this year during its 103 year celebrations, held in Nkandla where it said that it will reclaim the Nkandla Municipality from the IFP in next year’s municipal elections.”

“The ANC used its party’s 103 year celebrations to discredit us in the eyes of Nkandla residents by labelling us as failures. But the people of Nkandla are saying that the only party that can deliver services and fulfil their hopes and dreams is the IFP.

“As we are going to the 2016 local government elections we want to win back the municipalities that were taken by the failed ANC/NFP coalition.

“We believe in clean governance and we want to make sure that all the municipalities that are governed through coalitions between the ANC and NFP will be governed by us after the 2016 elections,” added Mr Gwala.

“Moreover, our support is also growing in other provinces like in Kgomo Kgomo in North West, Mpumalanga Province as well as Makhado in Limpopo. People are saying that they are tired of empty promises, lack of service delivery and corruption. They say that the IFP is an important if not a critical element of this vibrant democracy. We are waiting to welcome all citizens of South Africa into the IFP,” concluded Mr Gwala.
