Basil Underhill, Braveman Underhill and Fredboy Msomi each also received 13 years for the robbery with aggravating circumstances in the Durban High Court today.

As a result, removing them from society for what might perhaps be for the rest of their lives it’s a good thing to do.
At the same time, we believe now is the moment for our lawmakers to ensure that the killing of a teacher should be considered as an extraordinary crime. Such a crime should be punishable by a mandatory, no-parole-allowed sentence. We have to let teacher killers know they will not get away with it.
