IFP welcomes SAPS raids in Joburg CBD today

Aug 7, 2019 | Press Releases

The IFP welcomes the targeted intervention of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the City of Johannesburg again today.

It is high-time that those who seek to circumvent the law and sell illegal counterfeit goods and products in our country be met with the full might of the law.

The attacks on our men and women in uniform last week must set off alarm bells to our state security agencies.

The IFP believes that all undocumented foreign nationals must be held to account.

Furthermore, the SAPS Crime Intelligence Unit can clamp down on the printing of illegal documentation such as ID books and fake permits.

Across our country far too many undocumented foreign nationals have taken grand liberties in using the failure of our state departments to function effectively, efficiently and operationally.

We welcome this intervention and we hope more operations by the SAPS will be rolled out in other provinces and cities.
