IFP Wishes South African SUP And Prone Team Great Success At ISA World Sup And Paddleboard Championship Fiji

The Inkatha Freedom Party extends its best wishes and support to the South African SUP and Prone team 2016, as they depart today for the 5th ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Championships (#ISASUPPWC) being held at Denarau Island, Musket Cove ‘Cloudbreak’ Fiji, from the 12th to the 20th November.

The SA national team, comprising of seasoned athletes from Western Cape, KwaZulu Natal and Gauteng, will be competing in all disciplines at the event comprising of SUP Surfing, SUP Racing Technical, SUP Racing Distance and Paddleboard Racing Technical and Distance. Within the SUP Racing and Paddleboard disciplines, athletes will be competing in up to three (3) events including the Technical and Distance Races and the Paddle Relay. There will be one Gold Medal National Team.

IFP Spokesperson on Sports and Recreation, Mr KP Sithole, MP, said, “The IFP congratulates each and every member of the National team upon their selection to represent South Africa at this prestigious world SUP and Paddleboard Championship. We stand together with Surfing South Africa and Stand-Up Paddling South Africa in wishing the team all the very best of success at the event.”

Thomas and Tarryn King, Roxy Davis, Dylan Frick, Candice Murray (Western Cape), Brandon Ribbink, Anna Notten, Malec Odendaal, Jacqueline De Billot (KwaZulu Natal) and Chris Couve(Gauteng) are all leading athletes and easily amongst the best in the World. We are extremely proud of them and wish them and their coaches, Shayne Chips and James Raaf, all of the very best as they compete against the world’s top SUP surfing and paddling nations in Fiji #GODEEPSOUTHSUP.”
