IFP Youth Brigade Condemns Brutal Murder of Ms Bianca Khuzwayo

Apr 2, 2024 | Press Releases

The Inkatha Freedom Party Youth Brigade (IFPYB) strongly condemns the tragic killing of Ms Bianca Yolanda Khuzwayo. We denounce all forms of gender-based violence (GBV) and call for justice to be served.

Ms Khuzwayo, a dedicated metro police officer in Durban, was tragically found stabbed to death in her own home on Joseph Nduli Street. This appalling act, compounded by Ms Khuzwayo’s pregnancy, has shocked, and saddened our community.

In this time of sorrow, our thoughts are with Ms Khuzwayo’s family and friends. We offer our deepest condolences, hoping they find comfort during this difficult time.

The IFPYB urges the South African Police Service (SAPS) to conduct a thorough investigation into this heinous crime. We believe a comprehensive inquiry will uncover crucial evidence to bring the perpetrator to justice and provide closure to Ms Khuzwayo’s loved ones.

Ms Khuzwayo’s death serves as a stark reminder of the widespread issue of violence against women in South Africa. This urgent problem requires immediate attention and action from law enforcement and the judiciary.

Therefore, the IFPYB calls on the courts to handle this case seriously and deny bail to the accused. We support the establishment of specialised courts to address gender-based violence. Perpetrators of such crimes must face the full force of the law and be held accountable.

The IFPYB reaffirms our commitment to combating all forms of violence, especially against women and children. We stand united in the belief that everyone has the right to live without fear and violence in our society.
