Today the Honourable Mr Lourens De Klerk was sworn in as the IFP’s replacement in the KZN Legislature after the vacancy created by the passing away of the late Dr LPHM Mtshali.
“Hon De Klerk is no stranger to the Legislature and its activities having served as a member previously. As an experienced attorney he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience that will add value to the IFP Caucus in the KZN Legislature. Hon De Klerk is well versed in the formulation and interpretation of legislation. His wisdom and expertise will greatly strengthen the already formidable IFP presence in the provincial government.
We will certainly miss the presence of the late Dr Mtshali who possessed vast knowledge and was a formidable debater”, said IFP Leader in the KZN Legislature, Hon Blessed Gwala.
