And serves as a reminder of the urgency on building and maintaining transport infrastructure, but also calls for road users to also taking responsibility for the lives of other drivers and drive responsibly on the roads.
To combat this:

2. Enhance enforcement and surveillance, with traffic police visible 24/7.
3. Improve road infrastructure.
4. Implement stricter regulations for trucks.
5. Launch public awareness campaigns.
As per the IFP manifesto commitment of, enhancing road safety through implementing stricter safety policies; and investing public education for road users to increase awareness and education on road safety through schools, media, and public campaigns.
