The IFP has called on leaders mentioned by former PRASA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Lucky Montana, to respond to the very damning allegations he made against them. Reacting to the statement Mr. Montana presented at the Parliamentary enquiry led by the Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises on 30 January 2018, IFP Deputy National Spokesperson, Joshua Mazibuko said:
“The allegations made by former PRASA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Lucky Montana before the Parliamentary enquiry led by the Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises on 30 January 2018 are too damning to be brushed aside. They go to the core of the rot that has gripped the South African state and which has permeated almost all organs of power.
“Mr. Montana mentioned names of leaders and powerful individuals whom he accused of direct or indirect involvement in corrupt or fraudulent activities. These leaders cannot just be quiet. It is in their own interests and the interests of South Africa that they must say something, even if they are not detailed. These allegations are too serious for them to remain mum.”
