Joint Media Statement by the DA, IFP, FF Plus, ActionSA, ACDP, ISANCO, UIM and SNP

As the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) prepares to officially launch the 2024 National and Provincial Elections tomorrow on 24 October, the eight member parties of the Multi-Party Charter For South Africa appeal to every South African of voting age to register to vote for a new government next year.

In the 2024 National and Provincial Elections, we need your vote to get the Multi-Party Charter across the line. Do not stay away from the polling stations in 2024 because you believe your vote does not count: every single vote counts.

As political parties we are committed to working together to offer South Africans a new government to build a just, inclusive and prosperous South Africa based on opportunity, freedom and security for all its citizens. But we cannot do it alone.

Register, and vote in 2024 for a new government that cares about the people and will put their needs first.
