Multi-Party Charter for South Africa Welcomes Announcement by ACDP and Promises More

Oct 7, 2023 | Press Releases

The Multi-Party Charter For South Africa welcomes the announcement yesterday by ACDP of its intention to join the Charter, increasing the signatories of the pre-election agreement to 8.

This announcement is well received and takes place within a context of conversations with other political parties and civil society aimed at generating the broadest political alternative to the ANC in the forthcoming 2024 elections.

The ACDP is a party with an established track record and constituency which they now bring to the project of building a viable alternative that can displace the ANC next year and form a coalition government that starts the work of fixing South Africa.

The Multi-Party Charter For South Africa expresses its appreciation to ACDP President Kenneth Meshoe for the decision taken by the ACDP and calls upon other political parties to align themselves with the growing multi-party alternative in South Africa.
