The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) extends sincere condolences to the family and friends on the passing of our country’s first black female Constitutional Court Justice, Yvonne Mokgoro, yesterday.

We join the nation in mourning the loss of one of our respected female legal minds as she will be remembered for her contribution in the field of law and the administration of justice.

Justice Mokgoro served a 15-year term in the Constitutional Court from 1994 to 2009.

Our deepest sympathies go to her immediate family during this time of bereavement.

May her soul rest in peace.
