Sihle Zikalala Must Campaign for Premiership

May 8, 2015 | Press Releases

The IFP urge the KZN ANC Provincial Secretary, Sihle Zikalala to pursue his ambitions of being a Premier rather than being obsessed with the IFP.

“We are aware that there are some reports that Sihle Zikalala is in the Anti-Mchunu camp. We advise him that he must invest his energy into rather pushing his dirty campaign for premiership and desist with his farcical utterances attempting to provoke the IFP,” said IFP National Chairperson, Mr Blessed Gwala.

“One can describe Sihle Zikalala as one of a crop of highly educated people but who lacks any kind of common sense in the administration and management of the affairs of a political party. He has shown weak and lacklustre political leadership within the ANC as is by far one of the causes of current tensions within that party. His behaviour illustrates poor leadership skills and elitist arrogance. His lack of leadership skills has never been more exposed to the extent that it was during the disruption of the eThekwini elective conference,” continued Mr Gwala.

“Zikalala has failed dismally in his allotted duties as the provincial secretary to defuse tensions in the ANC’s eThekwini region which resulted in the continuous postponement of their elective conference. He appears intent on destroying the ANC from within as he is currently doing in eThekwini. He should leave the IFP alone and rather be interested in finding solutions to the challenges faced by the poorest of the poor,” concluded Mr Gwala.

The IFP calls on its members not to be hoodwinked by the so-called fabricated reports made against the party by senseless leaders like Sihle Zikalala.
