Standing Up for Children’s Rights on World Children’s Day

Nov 20, 2024 | Press Releases

Today, on World Children’s Day, the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), joins the global community in standing up for children’s rights. We recognise the immense challenges children face in our world, from poverty and inequality to violence and exploitation.

As a party, we reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding the well-being and future of South Africa’s children.

We believe that every child deserves access to quality education, healthcare, and protection from harm. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that children’s rights are respected, protected, and fulfilled. On this day, we pledge to continue advocating for policies and programs that prioritise children’s needs and empower them to reach their full potential.

As we celebrate World Children’s Day, we are reminded of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which underscores the importance of listening to children and involving them in decision-making processes that affect their lives.

We must create opportunities for children to express themselves, share their ideas, and participate in shaping a better world.

Let us unite to build a society where children feel valued, safe, and supported. The IFP calls on all South Africans to join hands in promoting children’s rights and dignity.

Together, we can create a brighter future for South Africa’s children.
