The IFP Extends a Message of Encouragement for the 2025 Academic Year

Jan 15, 2025 | Press Releases

As the 2025 academic year begins, the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) extends its heartfelt wishes to all learners embarking on their educational journey. Education is a cornerstone of personal and national interest and development.

As such we are reminded of the vision of our late founder and leader, Honourable Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who believed deeply that education is the ultimate tool of empowerment and liberation.

As the IFP, we recognise that education is not only a fundamental right but a transformative force that shapes individuals and societies.

In this spirit, we call for an urgent increase in teacher posts to address the crisis of overcrowded classrooms, so as to improve the quality of education being provided to each and every individual learner.

Every child deserves to have access to dedicated educators who can provide focused attention and nurture their potential.

Our manifesto commitment extends beyond advocating for free education; we emphasise the need for equitable and quality education for all. Education must transcend mere access and but; ensure excellence in teaching and learning.

The IFP encourages fostering a culture of academic achievement, innovation, and excellence within schools. whilst ensuring that, discipline is maintained in the highest degree. This is key to creating and maintaining a conducive learning environment.

Upholding the schools code of conduct consistently and fairly is essential in promoting mutual respect and accountability among learners and educators.

We also acknowledge that education is a collective responsibility. Parents, teachers, government, and other stakeholders must work hand in hand to build a brighter future for South Africa. It is through this partnership that we can cultivate the leaders of tomorrow who are empowered, informed, and equipped to navigate the challenges of the future.

The IFP remains steadfast in its commitment of advocating for a well-rounded education system that uplifts each and every learner across our country.

Let us all unite in ensuring that 2025 is a year of academic progress, personal growth, and educational excellence for all.
