Ngifisa ukuthokoza kuMhlonishwa iMeya yoMkhandlu weSifunda i-King Cetshwayo kanye nesiGungu sakhe ngesinqumo abasithathile okuyisona esiholele kulomzuzu wanamuhla. LoMkhandlu kaMasipala usukukhombise izikhathi eziningi indlela owazisa ngayo ifagugu lethu. Lesisakhiwo uqobo siqanjwe ngokhokho wami iSilo sasOndini, iNgonyama uCetshwayo, uJininindi omnyama ongabubende bezingwe nezingonyama, ohlangothini lukamama uMntwana uMagogo kaDinuzulu, iNgonyama amabutho ayo adudulana ngezifuba eMpini yaseSandlwana eyayiphakathi kwamaNgisi noZulu, okwaqopheka umlando ngokuba uZulu athele othulini amabutho amaNgisi.

INgonyama uCetshwayo yanqoba eMpini yaseSandlwana ngokwenziwa ngamabutho ayo, ngaphansi komyalelo kaNdunankulu uMnyamana Buthelezi ongukhokho wami. Amadodana amabili kaNdunankulu uMnyamana alwa, kuleyompi nayo ayibamba kwashunqa uthuli kuleMpi yaseSandlwana. Ubabamkhulu wami uMkhandumba walwa naye kepha wasinda wasala namanxeba empi, kepha umfowabo uMntumengana akabuyanga, wasala enkundleni eSandlwana. Ubabamkhulu uMkhandumba izibongo zakhe, “UNoshwila nsimbi ngemilenze eSandlwana, usandla sagudlu’mbayimbayi!” Indodana kaMkhandumba nguMathole Buthelezi ozala mina uqobo.

Ngokuhamba kwesikhathi wabekwa iNgonyama uSolomon kaDinuzulu (umnewabo woMntwana uMagogo kaDinuzulu owagana iNkosi uMathole Buthelezi) ukuba nguNdunankulu woMdabu wayo iNgonyama uMqwalajuba neSizwe sikaZulu. Lesikhundla iNkosi Mathole Buthelezi yaqhubeka naso nangemuva kokukhothama kwaso iSilo uSolomon kaDinuzulu nangesikhathi kuseneBamba-bukhosi oweSilo uMntwana uMshiyeni kaDinuzulu, “ubhova ogqabulamaketango!” uMntwana uMshiyeni waqhubeka ngisho emva kokukhothama kweSilo uSolomon ngonyaka ka-1933, waze wahamba emhlabeni ngo-December 1942.

Ubabamkhulu wayekanye nezinkulungwane zamabutho asala elele uyaca enkundleni yeMpi. Yena nawo wonke amabutho kaZulu banikela ngezimpilo zabo ukuze amabutho kaZulu aqhubeke ngesikhathi esizayo akhuza isiqubulo esithi “Hebe! Yusuthu!”

Ngiyafisa ukucacisa ukuthi ukuhlonishwa okungaka ngenkonzo yami yokusebenzela iSizwe ngesikhathi esedlule namanje, akusoze neze kwacima noma kwacekela phansi izinga lokuhlonipheka kweSilo esisesihlalweni kanye noMndeni waseNdlunkulu kaZulu, ngothi lwawo. Eqinisweni lokhu kuyikuhlonishwa kweSilo sethu, ukuba singalibali ulibo lwesikhathi esedlule, ngisho nangokuqamba isakhiwo esingaphansi koMkhandlu kaMasipala, i-King Cetshwayo ngegama lami. Ayamangalisa amanga kaKhongolose nalabo abeseka uMntwana uSimakade okuthi sekuguqulwe igama laloMasipala.

Ngiyathokoza namuhla, ukuthi lapha eMkhandlwini weSifunda i-King Cetshwayo sekubuyiselwa igama elalivele liqanjwe ngesikhathi esedlule.

Eminyakeni eminingi eyedlule lesisakhiwo sasikade saziwa ngokuthi yi-”Mangosuthu Buthelezi House” lokhu kwakwenziwa ukwazisa ubuhlobo obuphakathi kweSilo Samabandla kanye noNdunankulu woMdabu waso. Akusona isikhathi eside kakhulu esedlule lapho kwenziwa yonke imizamo ukuba kucinywe lomlando ohlobene kangaka, kwase kugudluzwa igama likaNdunankulu weSilo. Namhlanje ingxenye emqoka kakhulu yomlando wethu isiphinde yathola ithuba lokuba ilondolozwe futhi. Kuyimfeketho uqobo lwayo ukuthi ngalesisenzo kususwe igama likaMasipala, i-King Cetshwayo Municipality.

Lesi yisenzo esikhulu kunazo zonke ekukhombiseni indlela loMkhandlu weSifunda ohlonipha ngayo iNgonyama yethu kanye noMbuso wayo. Kunomlando omude ojwayelekile wendlela okwenziwa ngayo izinto uma kufikwa odabeni lukaNdunankulu weSilo ngeqhaza lakhe alibambileyo ngokuba ahlinzekwe indawo engavamile eSigodlweni seSilo Samabandla.

Eqinisweni sekuyiminyaka engaphezu kwamakhulu amabili, ukhokho wami ohlangothini lukababa uNqengelele Buthelezi, wayehlala eSigodlweni sakwaNobamba okwakungeseSilo uSenzangakhona kaJama. UNqengelele wayefundisa (ecathulisa) abantwana baseNdlunkulu phakathi kwabo okwakukhona uMntwana uSgidi ozalwa yintombi yaseLangeni Indlovukazi uNandi kaBhele okwase kungena esihlalweni sobukhosi indodana yaso iSilo uShaka kaSenzangakhona. Izibongo-nje zakhe uNqengelele ‘Ngumnandi ngamondi odliwa zindlovu zakithi kwaNobamba!’

Bonke abalandela uNqengelele abayinzalo yakhe baba nelungelo lokuba nendawo abahlala kuyo ngaphakathi kwamagceke eZigodlo zeziNgonyama. Lokhu kuqhubekile kwenzeka ngaphansi kweziNgonyama eziningi. UMntwana uDinuzulu ngenkathi eseyibhungu wakhuliswa ngaphansi kwesandla sikaNdunankulu uMnyamana Buthelezi, emzini wakhe eKushumayeleni. Ngosuku athomba ngalo uMntwana uDinuzulu, wayesehlala komunye umuzi kaMnyamana, Ophisweni.

Ngaphambi kokuba amaNgisi ashise uNdi okwakuyisigodlo seSilo uCetshwayo, iNgonyama uCetshwayo yayihlala Ekushumayeleni emzini kaNdunankulu wayo uMnyamana Buthelezi. Kwathi nangenkathi uJininindi omnyama ephesheya neNdlunkulu yakhe nabantwana abangamadodakazi ayo iNgonyama bonke babehlala emzini waseKushumayeleni.

Eqinisweni indodana kaNqengelele uMnyamana wayenendawo ahlala kuyo eSigodlweni sakwaNondwengu, okwakuwumuzi weSilo uMpande futhi ngemuva sekubusa iSilo sasoNdini wayephinde abe nenye indawo ahlala kuyo khona eSigodlweni sasOndini.

Ngisho manje eHlalankosi lapho kwenzelwa khona imicimbi yaseNdlunkulu, eSigodlweni saseNyokeni kuze kube yimanje, ngaphandle nje kokuba yiSigodlo seSilo, babili abantu abanezindawo zokuhlala ngaphakathi eSigodlweni saseNyokeni, yiNdlovukazi uMntanenkosi ongasekho, uMantfombi, engunina weSilo esisesihlaweni sobukhosi, omunye onendawo laphayana eSigodlweni yimi kuphela engayakhelwa yiSilo uMdlokombana njengoNdunankulu weSilo neSizwe sikaZulu. Akekho omunye onendawo yokuhlala ngaphandle kwethu sobabili, Indlovukazi nami.

Ngakho-ke kunomlando omude okhombisa indlela okwenzeka ngayo izinto ukuba uNdunankulu woMdabu weSilo abe nendawo ekhethekileyo ngaphakathi kwamagceke esigodlo eNgonyama, ngakho ukubuyiselwa kwegama lendawo eyayiqanjwe ngalo phambilini, kuhambisana nenqubo evele okukade yabakhona njengoba kwenzeka lapha kuMasipala weSifunda i-King Cetshwayo District.

Kuyadabukisa kakhulu ukuthi lendlela yokuhlonipha ifagugu lethu kube yinto ethathelwa phansi yiNtsha yoMbutho kaKhongolose (ANC Youth League) kulesifundazwe saKwaZulu-Natali kanye nezitatimende ezinonya ezivela kuNobhala weSifundazwe, uMnu Bheki Mtolo mayelana nokuphinde kubuyiselwe igama lami lamahhovisi oMkhandlu weSifunda i-King Cetshwayo, njengoba kwakuvele kunjalo kwaguqulwa nguKhongolose.

Kunendaba engelona iqiniso esixoxwe iphindaphindwa, enokuhlanekezela okukhulu ngendlela yokwenza izinto eNdlunkulu lapha kuloMkhandlu kaMasipala weSifunda ukuthi kuthiwe sekuqanjwe lamahhovisi ngegama lami, athiwa yi-”Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi House.” Benza sengathi lokhu kukhombisa ukuqonela iSilo nokungahloniphi iSilo uCetshwayo kanye noMndeni weNdlunkulu kaZulu. Ingabe lokhu kusho ukuthi ngingumuntu wangaphandle yini mina, ongeyena wokuzalwa lapha eNdlunkulu? Nokuthi leNgonyama yasoNdini akusiye yini ukhokho wami, ozala ubabamkhulu iSilo uDinuzulu, ozala uMntwana uMagogo, umama?

Ngabe yikuyichapha nenhlamba yini iNdlunkulu yoMndeni kaZulu ngokukhumbula ukuthi ngisho neSilo uCetshwayo sahlala emzini kaMnyamana Ekushumayeleni, ngaphambidlana nje kokuba isiGodlo sasOndini sishiswe singqongqe sibe wumlotha? INgonyama uCetshwayo uqobo yahlala Ekushumayeleni ngaphambi kokuba ithathwe isiwe emzini kaShodo Mbuyisa, ehlathini laseNgome.

Ngabe yikuyicapha ngenhlamba uMndeni weNdlunkulu kaZulu ukukhumbula ukuthi kusukela ekuzalweni kwami ngakhuliswa ngumalume wami iSilo uSolomon kaDinuzulu esiGodlweni saKwaDlamahlahla?

Umndeni wami, okungumndeni wakwaButhelezi ube benkonzo yokusebenza ngokwethembeka eziNgonyameni zikaZulu kanye neSizwe sikaZulu amakhulu ngamakhulu eminyaka. Kambe kusicapha kanjani ngenhlamba iNgonyama uCetshwayo ukukhumbula ukuthi uMntwana uMangosuthu Buthelezi njengoNdunankulu woMdabu wasebenza (wakhonza) ngaphansi kweSilo u-Cyprian Bhekuzulu Nyangeyezizwe kaSolomon, waphinde wasebenza (wakhonza) ngaphansi kweSilo uZwelithini kaBhekuzulu, kwaze kwafinyelela kulesikhathi sobukhosi beNgonyama uMisuzulu kaZwelithini okuyiSilo esihlezi esihlalweni sobukhosi beSizwe sikaZulu?

Cha akunjalo, uma umuntu edinga umzekeliso wenhlamba, ukuqonda indlela yaseNdlunkulu yokwenza izinto, akenginike lomzekeliso. Ngonyaka ka-2010 uKhongolose walapha esifundazweni saKwaZulu-Natali wamemezela ukuthi inkundla yebhola okuzodlalelwa kuyo imiqhudelwano yeNdebe yomhlaba kuleSifundazwe ngo-2010, iyakuqanjwa ngoyise weLembe, iNkosi uSenzangakhona. Kepha bagcina besiqambe ngoMnu Moses Mabhida owayengomunye wabaholi bezombusazwe bakaKhongolose. Ngabe lokhu kusho ukuthi kosomqulu babo bomlando ungomqoka uMabhida ukwedlula iNgonyama? UMnu uMoses Mabhida ungaphezulu kweNkosi uSenzangakhona?

Emva kweminyaka engamashumi ayisikhombisa ngisebenze (ngikhonze) iziNgonyama ezintathu ngokwelamana kwazo kanye neSizwe sikaZulu, kungani kufanele ukuba igama lami licinywe liphele emlandweni walesisizwe? Ngenkathi sengizimisele ukuba nginikele ngeqhaza lami embusweni wentando yeningi esawuzabalazela yonke leminyaka engaka, sizinikela kangaka, ukuqinisekisa nje kuphela ukuthi iSilo Samabandla siyakuba nendawo ngaphansi kwesakhiwo sezwe esisha. Kungani kufanele ukuba igama lami lincinywe lingaveli emabhukwini omlando? Ngabe lokhu kungenxa yokuthi ngabasebenzela abantu bakithi? Noma kungenxa yokuthi ubaba ongizalayo uMathole Buthelezi owasebenzela lesisizwe ngaphambi kwami, kanye nobabamkhulu naye owasisebenzela ngaphambi kwami kanye nokhokho wami owangendulela, noma kungenxa kakhokho wami naye owangendulela kulenkonzo yaseNdlunkulu, kusukela lena emuva kubunjwa iSizwe sikaZulu neLembe lingakabikho?

Mhlawumbe yingoba ngalandela ngokwethembeka imiyalelo yabaholi bami bakaKhongolose iNkosi u-Albert Luthuli kanye noMnu Oliver Tambo, ngamukela umsebenzi onzima okwetshe wokuhola izwe laKwaZulu ngezikhathi zobandlululo ezazinzima ukuzedlula zonke? Kufanele yini ukuba igama lami licinywe liphele kosomqulu bomlando ngenxa yokulalela nokulandela iseluleko sabaholi bamazwe ayesekhaleni le-Afrika eseNingizimu ngonyaka ka-1974, nezincomo zobuholi bukaKhongolose owawusekudingisweni, obabuholwa nguMnu u-Oliver Tambo, ngokuba ngivuselele isihlonti sokulwela umzabalazo wenkululeko lapha kwelengabadi eNingizimu Afrika?

Kungani kufanele ukuba ngicoboshiswe kuphele ngami ngisho namanje, ngenkathi ngisaqhubeka nokusebenza (nokukhonza) ngaphansi kweSilo sethu esibusayo, ngisho sengifinyelele kuleminyaka engaka yokuzalwa, engamashumi ayisishiyagalolunye nane? Mhlawumbe ngiyingozi ngaleyondlela? UMadiba (uMnu Nelson Mandela) wavuma emini izigodi zibuka, kwezwa wonke umuntu, eminyakeni engaphezu kwamashumi amabili ukuthi uKhongolose (ngiyamcaphuna) ukuthi basebenzisa lonke uhlobo lwezikhali ukuqeda (ngoButhelezi) kepha; “sahluleka sancama.” Kanginitshene ukuthi kungani kwenzeka lokho. Uma lokho kuyinto okufanele ukuba ibhidlizwe kuqedwe ngayo, ngakho kuyakudingeka ukuba sihlanze ngedela, sikhohlwe yikuba nezinqolobane zokugcina ukudla kulesikhathi esinzima kangaka, njengoba engafaniswa nangokhalo amathuba okucoshakala kwemisebenzi.

Yingakho-nje loMkhandlu weSifunda uqhubeka uchaza ngefagugu lami uma unikela ngezindlu kubantu abasweleyo, kubantu besifazane abayizinhloko zemizi; ngoba ngibe yingqwele yokuvikela amalungelo abantu besifazane ngaphinde ngabahlomisa ngamakhono impilo yami yonke. Kuyinto engafanele ukuma endleleni uphikise lokho engikwenzileyo, ngenxa nje yokudicilela phansi umuntu oyedwa nosekhule njengami.

Kuyinto eletha ukuthobeka kimi ukwazi ukuthi inkonzo yami yokuzinikela ekusebenzeleni abantu bakithi, iholele ekubeni kwakhelwe imindeni imizi, umndeni wakwaMhlongo eMandlazini, umndeni wakwaMbuyazi Esikhaleni kanye nomndeni wakwaMthembu eGobandlovu. Kuyithemba lami ukuthi izizukulwane eziyolandela uma zibona lomfanekiso owenziwe ngumasipala kanye neSizwe sikaZulu ume lapha emahhovisi eSifunda oMkhandlu i-King Cetshwayo, bonke bayokhumbula imigomo yobuholi esekeleke ekubeni yisisebenzi sabantu, ukuthi lokhu ukuba yisisebenzi sabantu kusho ukuthini.

Udaba lwemifanekiso ebaziweyo lungangaphezu kokuhlonipha abantu ebunjwe ngabo kanye nalokho abakumeleyo. Imifanekiso ebaziweyo iwummongo wokugcina umcabango nokulondoloza umlando othile, ukuze uhlale ukhunjulwa kuphinde kukhulunywe ngawo, ekugcineni kwenziwe okuthile ngawo kepha kube kususelwa kulemifanekiso. Ngizizwa nginokuhlonipheka ukuba loMkhandlu kaMasipala weSifunda uthathe isinqumo sokuba wakhe umfanekiso wami, njengoNdunankulu weSilo kanye neSizwe sikaZulu. Lokhu akwenziwa ngenhloso yokuhlonipha mina, kepha kwenziwa ukwazisa nokuhlonipha imigomo engiyimeleyo, ngayiphila impilo yami yonke.
